Workshops, Talks & Demonstrations during the week

Rag Rugs and Woven Tapestry – Dinny Turner
Demonstrations and workshops – come and have a go at the different methods used to create rag rugs.
Dinny will be present all day at St. Margaret’s on the Thurs 24th.  Fri 25th. and Sat 26th. 11-4pm
Workshops for will run 2 hours starting at 11.30am and 2pm on each of the days above

From Somewhere to Herenarratives of loss and movement
Nicky Stainton is showing part of an on-going series of works that address human displacement, dispossession and loss, within the context of her own Jewish heritage. She will talk about her inspiration and influences, creative approach and techniques. She hopes to stimulate a conversation about narratives of displacement and our response to those who have been uprooted.
Nicki will be presenting her talk from 1:15 – 1:50 0n Friday 25th. October

 Bookbinding – Lark Images
Chris will leading workshop a to give you the chance to make your own simple notebook from scratch and demonstrating ways to enhance the book.
Workshops will run for approx 1 hour on Weds 23rd at 11.30 am and Sat 26th at 11.30am
£5.00 per person – Booking advised but not essential

A stitch in time …  a peaceful half hour to try a simple embroidery stitch’
Christina Greathead will be demonstrating and offering the chance too ‘have a go’ on
Sunday 27th. October from 11am – 2:30 pm.

Sketching and Plein air oil painting – Malcom Cudmore.
Malcom will be demonstrating sketching people and plein air oil painting on the afternoon of Saturday 26th. October from 11 am – 2:30 .pm
