I trained in textiles at Chelsea school of Art and have worked as a textile artist for private and commercial commissions. Much of my previous and present work is made by collage. Freely painted landscapes on tissue paper contrast with precisely cut shapes. I enjoy using scissors to create the line, to move shapes and colours around together so that they become new vistas. It is an intimate and colourful world that may change many times until it can be no other way, with an emphasis on colour and shape, to create a feeling, a landscape, or a depiction of a story, all be it quite abstract.
