Five artists from HWAT – Christina Greathead, Lin Patterson, Caryl Challis, Jane German and Rose Martin – have joined together to put on on a new exhibition of contemporary textiles in the Upstairs Gallery at CRAFTCO in Southwold, Suffolk. CRAFTCO is an applied arts gallery run as a cooperative.
COLOUR – STITCH – RESIST is focused on the art of contemporary textiles, with the artists using a variety of creative techniques including wax batik, handmade objects, painting on silk, appliqué and hand stitching, pieced cushions and panels.
The Private View for the exhibition is on Saturday 3rd October 2015 from 1pm – 3pm. All welcome. Enjoy the exhibition and share wine and nibbles with the five artists.
The exhibition is open from Friday 2nd October to Sunday 1st November 2015.
