HWAT News: New book ‘Waveney Reflections’ featured in local press

HWAT’s new book, Waveney Reflections: Brockdish to Bungay, a Portrait of the River, has featured in the local press and media. Diss Mercury, Beccles & Bungay Journal and the Eastern Daily Press have all published articles on Waveney Reflections, following a successful Book Launch weekend.

A special two-day Book Launch weekend for Waveney Reflections was held at the River Waveney Study Centre on the 24th and 25th October 2015, alongside an art exhibition of the original artworks chosen for the book. The writer and poet Tessa West wrote the foreword for the book and officially opened the Book Launch weekend event.

Twenty-five artists from the Harleston & Waveney Art Trail Collective (HWAT) are delighted to announce the publication of their new book celebrating the River Waveney between Brockdish and Bungay, the stretch of the river that links their art studios.

The Harleston & Waveney Art Trail Collective (HWAT) is delighted to announce the publication launch of their new book, Waveney Reflections: From Brockdish to Bungay, a portrait of the river, celebrating the river Waveney between Brockdish and Bungay, the stretch of river that links the artists’ studios and influences their artworks.

All are welcome to attend the special book launch weekend on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October 2015 at The River Waveney Study Centre, Old Harleston Road, Earsham, Suffolk NR35 2AF.

The river Waveney forms the boundary between Norfolk and Suffolk and gives the Waveney Valley its beauty and character. The book launch weekend is also an opportunity to meet the twenty five artists from HWAT featured in Waveney Reflections and view a special art exhibition of the original artworks featured in the book. Tessa West, writer and poet with a long standing love of Norfolk and Suffolk, has written the foreword to the book and she will be opening the event each day.

The River Waveney Trust Study Centre will be open from 11.30am to 3pm on both days of the book launch weekend, offering visitors time to enjoy a walk by the river that has inspired our artists. The Café at The River Waveney Trust Study Centre will be open for the purchase of refreshments during the special book launch.
