The artists below will be opening in 2019

Isobel Auker – Textiles
My textile work explores rhythmic and elemental pattern, manipulating and combining wool and silk fibre by dyeing, stitching and felting. Wearable and wall hung pieces.

Barbara Bernard - Paintings in oil
My paintings are a celebration of sunlight, shadow and atmosphere on landscape, townscape, animals and life.

Caryl Challis - Contemporary batik
New work responding to sunlight and shadows, colour and pattern. Also hand made cards and small batik collages.

Nell Close - Painting/printing
New work. Lively, intensely and intricately coloured mixed media paintings. A celebration of diversity and discovery in natural surroundings. Cards and Giclee reproductions.

Malcolm Cudmore - Painting and drawing
Observations in pencil and oil paint. Moments, views, characters and feelings – noted and framed. Captured experiences from this unique and subtle landscape.

Ingrid Duffy - Textiles
Working with fabric and stitch and my own photographs, I create framed textile art and textile books – inspired by the Suffolk coast and local landscape.

Emerging Artists
Our emerging artists scheme showcases the work of up and coming artists with links to the area. The scheme aims to provide a space on the trail for new artists at the beginning of their creative journey and the four selected artists will exhibit together at Holbrook House in Alburgh.

Lisa Henshall - Paintings, prints and mixed media
Colourful images based on landscape/seascape and domestic settings.
Jewellery and homeware.

Nick Holmes - Painting, printmaking, photographs and collage
Incidental glimpses of texture, light, pattern and shape collected from landscape, found objects and travel, combined to form abstract compositions.

Sara Johnson - Painting
Atmospheric watercolours and mixed media paintings with big skies, water and woods as recurring landscape themes. Also new works in acrylic

Gill Levin - Painting and drawing
My interests are twofold; nature, which I portray in plants and landscapes, and discarded man-made structures such as derelict piers and abandoned railways and pits.

Rose Martin - Textiles: Contemporary silk painting
Paintings on silk using my garden, the sea and the local landscape for inspiration. Colour and texture are vital. Glorious hand painted scarves make wonderful presents

Diana McKenna - Painter and printmaker
I am always inspired by nature, and recently have been focusing on printmaking and particularly bird life. I’m experimenting with ways of printing on fabrics, layering and stitching materials, in addition to work on paper and canvas.

Chris Mound - Printmaking
The inspiration for my work is drawn from nature. I make small editions of handmade original prints, usually woodcuts, using traditional techniques.

Lin Patterson - Textiles
I design and make wall hangings using my own hand dyed fabrics, cotton and silk velvet. I also make cushions, scarves and brooches.

Graham Rayner - Furniture
I design and make contemporary bespoke furniture and a range of beautifully hand crafted clocks, boxes and accessories, using a wide range of wonderful timbers.

Scribbly Roo - Illustration and jewellery
I create unusual laser cut jewellery, traditional paintings and digital art prints based on my love of wild life, nature and fairy tales.

Nicky Stainton - Painting and mixed media
Evocative images exploring themes of distance, movement of people and journeys through known and imagined landscapes. New and existing work, combining drawing, paint, wax and paint techniques.

Jilly Szaybo - Painting on canvas + watercolours
The water, weather, atmosphere and flora of this part of the Waveney Valley; these are the key elements of my mostly abstract painting.

Poppy Szaybo - Textiles and photography
A new series of textile work inspired by historical botanical collections and archives.

Liz Taunt - Printmaking
I continue to take great pleasure in discovering the delights and expressive potential of pattern making; and of abstraction in general. Printmaking is a perfect medium for my pursuit.

Dinny Turner - Textile Artist
Textile pictures in the form of Rag Rugs using hand dyed calico. I am inspired by flowers, their shapes and colour and the many layers of them as seen in gardens and nature

Kath Wallace - Painting, drawing and mixed media
Colourful, dynamic work in summerhouse studio and garden. Expressionist landscape paintings and beautiful cards inspired by riverside walks, favourite views and garden flowers.

Bobbie Watchorn - Sculpture/ceramics
Unique hand built animal sculptures, interpretive rather than literal. The inspiration for them coming from the countryside and personal encounters. Mainly high fired stoneware

Rachel Wiles - Painting and textiles
I work experimentally in acrylics and mixed media, distorting and manipulating materials and surfaces, using evocative colours of a landscape or seascape to give a sense of atmosphere and place.
