I paint mostly in oils. What really interests me is the fall of light and shadow on surfaces, whether they be landscape, architecture, still life, animals or the human figure. I often paint outdoors, and am usually attracted by the “non-picturesque”.
I am American by birth but have lived in the England since 1971. I studied art in Beloit, Wisconsin, USA and learned silkscreen printmaking at Richmond Adult College in Richmond, Surrey. I began painting in oils about ten years ago. I have exhibited twice in the New English Art Club Open Exhibition at the Mall Galleries, London. For many years, I participated in “Artists at Home”, open studios in the Chiswick area. I moved to Ditchingham in 2013 and work from a spacious studio in my garden.
