Graham Rayner

I design and make high quality contemporary furniture, and smaller wooden items such as clocks, boxes and turned work. Most of my furniture is made to commission, but the smaller items, I make speculatively to sell at shows and exhibitions. I have also recently started selling my clocks on-line.

BIOGRAPHY
I am a life-long passionate woodworker. After a career in engineering and design, I started working with wood professionally about fifteen years ago. My engineering knowledge along with extensive woodworking skills, have equipped me well for the challenges of creating unique pieces of hand crafted bespoke furniture. My skills as a cabinet maker are shown in careful timber selection and attention to detail in design, construction and finishing, which ensure that every one of my pieces, large or small, is made and finished to the same high standard. My commissioned work covers a wide variety of styles as guided by my clients’ wishes, creating bespoke designs which combine functionality and elegant forms with careful detailing and timber selection. For my speculative work, I favour clean lines, bold shapes and interesting timbers.
