Christina Greathead

I work with cloth, stitch and photography to capture moments in time and place. I often use discarded domestic textiles and dyed table linens which suggest home, family, work and lives lived. I enjoy the feeling of connection with the past evoked when handling these old fabrics and when using traditional techniques in unexpected ways.

I work with the nature of the material to record plants, wild flowers, grasses and the Norfolk landscape that surrounds me linking culture with nature. Workshops available on request.
