Carolyn Moulton – Open in 2024 – Studio 24

Always inspired by nature, my work celebrates our East Anglian skies, fields and coast patterns.  Recently I’ve found inspiration very close at hand in my garden – favourite trees, plants and even old bottles we dug up.

I enjoy the journey of collecting lots of information and ideas to develop into sketches and collages.  From here, I work towards the finished pieces which may be very different to my start point.  My paintings are mixed media: acrylic, watercolour, pastel, ink and my own collage papers.  The work is colourful and multi-layered with glimpses through the top layers to reveal the history beneath.
