My three-dimensional wire sculptures are intended to be visually captivating and thought-provoking. Each artwork is individually made through meticulous freehand work, quite literally myself and a pair of pliers. I employ a unique technique where a single outer layer of wire forms the structure, creating an interplay between the seen outer layer and the negative space within.
Engaging with my sculptures requires a harmonious collaboration between the mind and the eye, as the viewer’s perception and understanding evolve with each change in perspective.
Having studied Jewellery and Metalsmithing at Epsom School of Art and Design in the 90’s I began my creative journey as a contemporary jeweller exhibiting in craft and design galleries nationwide. From 2020 I have adapted my jewellery skills to create my unique wire sculptures from home on the Norfolk/Suffolk border.
From the B1116 enter Church Road, drive down until St Andrews Church is in front. Literally drive towards the church gate and follow the drive round to the right (in between walls) where you will find my home and studio. Alternatively parking is available at the front of the church.
