Juliana Johanna is the artist and writer behind Little Liefje, a creative brand rooted in childhood, nature, and quiet connection. Through her work, she hopes to gently encourage a reconnection to the child self – a place of openness, wonder, and inner calm.

When Juliana was around five years old, a small blackbird began visiting her garden. That quiet companionship left a lasting impression, planting the seeds for a lifelong sense of wonder and a deep connection to both nature and self – themes that would later shape her creative work and the evolution of her brand.

Children and birds feature prominently in Juliana’s work, as enduring symbols of growth, mindfulness, and connection. Both move through the world with curiosity and openness, learning as they go and sharing their true selves freely. And for those of you curious – Liefje (pronounced leaf-yuh) is a Dutch word expressing affection, translating to mean “sweetheart” or “darling”.
